It became more about research than writing what I am thinking. Which yes I love learning and taking notes, but that isn’t what I want for this blog. So here we go again!

June was a very surreal month. The first half is a blur, I can barely remember any of it! Then I finally got away for a break in Helmsley, Yorkshire. It is such a gorgeous little town and I have been going every so often since my childhood. The weather was on our side and we walked along Sutton Bank above the White Horse. On the Saturday we went to York, which I love for its cathedral and bookshops. Sunday was just a chill out day! Monday was the day we came back, but we stopped off at Rievaulx Abbey. It is a beautiful abandoned monastery surrounded by the Yorkshire countryside.
​Yet, as soon as I got home I caught covid, again exactly a year later! I was then ill for a good three days. It wasn’t as bad as last year but this time I had a horrible cough. Glad to be through it without getting too I’ll or losing my taste and smell again!

​Having a blog is something that I have wanted to do since college five years ago. I did start out on one then but I just couldn’t get into it because of the platform I was using. It is still not perfect on here but it is good enough for now. The main inspirations, newsletters and blogs I regularly dip into are these listed below:

There has been a shift to creatives using newsletters more and I would love to! I just feel right now I want to get a blog going and also it is another cost for me that I don’t need right now.
